What's going on ...

We just inaugurated the season with an AWESOME wedding in Little Compton RI. The couple had a great love story and we're excited that it will be featured in Sunday's New York Times Vows section (May 18). Chad Michael Peters designed the event, which took place on the bride, Elena's parents' property; and on the water's edge, under a Chuppah, where the ceremony, co-officiated by a rabbi and the groom, John's minister father, took place at the water's edge. The tents were magical, the 2 bands played all night, the family and guests were fun, engaging and welcoming (as well as fabulous on camera!) and we couldn't have had more fun.

Travis (our 2 year intern who I couldn't live without) got hired the week after he graduated. Great job. We're thrilled for him. Fortunately, we've had a wonderful influx of Summer interns, and Lauren and Meagan have settled into studio B. We're relieved that Meagan knows some Photoshop. We were working on an ad by her second day at the studio.

Speaking of ads, the first sponsored ad announcing the Boston Wedding Group's (www.BostonWeddingGroup.com/BGE) plans for an early September Gala for Brides Against Breast Cancer went into Boston Wedding this week. I'm on the core committee for this event to be held at The Registry @Bloomingdale's and that will rock Boston's brides. We'll be selling new donated designer gowns for significant savings. The entire sale price will go to Brides Against Breast Cancer as well as proceeds from the silent auction being planned. Brides will enjoy theatrical fashion shows, tastings from top caterers, live and dj'd music, wedding experts' panels and seminars, and displays and consultations with top wedding professionals. I'll say more as we develop the event. If you feel moved to get involved

We're now offering a new product called WedFlicks for the couple looking for a more traditional and less expensive wedding video. Shorter, more montage than film, heavier on the music track and lighter on the live dialogue and stories, our Wedflicks packages start at $2800.
For more information, check out www.wedflicks.com in early June'08.
