How did we get so lucky to spend New Years Eve at The Fairmont Copley Plaza filming the wedding ceremony of Julianne and Austin! From the moment we met the couple and their family and close friends at the wedding rehearsal the previous night, we were totally psyched to be spending NYE with them. The Fairmont Copley Plaza was buzzing that night with 2 fabulous weddings, and two great photography teams: Our good friends, Person and Killian were across the hall in the Oval Room with another lovely couple, and we were in the ballroom with our old friend, Kelly Sullivan Lorenz, filming Julianne and Austin's intimate and moving wedding ceremony.
Alice Fay, from the Fairmont, was gracefully and flawlessly running the show at our wedding, and we began our coverage with a sweet, intimate exchange between the bride and groom in the bride's getting ready room. It was easy to see what easy, great friends the couple were in addition to being madly in love.
The ceremony space was set up in the round so that the stunning, illuminated chuppah and the ceremony beneath it could be seen from all sides. The couple chose, literally, to be surrounded by all their family and friends.
The ceremony itself was full of special words and moments as the couple and their officiant had written special sentiments to share. My eyes filled and spilled over as a soloist sang the moving hymn "You Raise Me Up" which I just LOVE!
We just completed and sent the wedding film trailer to Julianne and Austin last night - and here's what Julianne wrote to us today:
"Hi all, What a way to make our night. I wasn't prepared for the water works to come out. Absolutely beautiful how you have overlapped the words and images. Can't wait to see more! I have already forwarded it to my family and friends. Thank you thank you,"
