Elena and John in Little Compton

What a day! As we drove down to Little Compton RI, we anxiously scanned the skies for signs of weather change. The thick grey clouds had threatened rain all morning down from Boston, but just as we arrived in Little Compton, the sun broke thru, the skies cleared and the weather couldn't have been more perfect for the outdoor wedding planned at the water's edge.

Chad Michael Peters (see his wedding on our gallery) created and executed the wedding design which spread over the bride's parents' property to the neighbor's property to the bay. A separate tent housed the gorgeous wedding Chuppahset at an angle to the bay so that the sun bounced off the couple's faces during the entire ceremony. WOW!

Elena and John (the couple) were full of loving play and exuberance as they chatted excitedly about their meeting and courtship.
John's dad co-officiated at the ceremony, and both sets of parents were thrilled to the max. There were two bands playing throughout the evening - including an amazing Latin band.

Elena wore her mom's wedding dress for the ceremony and her grandmother's pearls. It had been updated for the occasion, but was originally designed by Jacqueline Kennedy's couture designer in NYC.

Elena and John's story made it to the NY Times VOWS section the following Sunday. They had a wonderful love story to tell, and told it with such charm!
