Is it really February??

January has zoomed by; Part one of wedding season has come and gone. It looks like 2010 will be a great year and 2009 is already turning out to be a blast.
We're booking venues we've never been to, and working with photographers (yeahhh! Marina Sun of Lifefusion) we've never worked with before. We're thrilled to be working with Brian Phillips again in 2010.
We just filmed our first Pakistani/Islamic wedding. We love seeing and filming new rituals and I loved the one where the bride's friends steal and hid the grooms shoe, make his friends bid on it, while the bride's friends hold out for a high price. Niveen and Michael's wedding was held at the lovely Lyman Estate in Waltham, and we particularly loved the bright primary colors of the saris and other traditional attire worn by wedding party and guests.
We have our very first Valentine's Day wedding (how romantic can one get!) at the Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. We're very much looking forward to it!

If any of you reading this haven't yet checked out Style Me Pretty, www.stylemepretty.com, I'd like to suggest you mosey on over to see what Abby Larsen and her favorite wedding vendors are up to. I LOVE the site, and find the content inspiring and so very REAL!

We're looking to do a First Anniversary shoot for some lucky couple. Just tell us what you've learned about love in your first year of marriage, and the couple who has the best story will win a First Anniversary film shoot. My fantasy is to get the couple to dress up again in their wedding attire, meet someplace fun for dinner or cocktails,( or outside) and film them telling the story.

We're thrilled that so many of our couples are already having babies and are sending us pictures of them! We've been invited to film first birthday parties (so much fun!) and last month we were asked to make a photo-video montage of two twin girl's first year as a gift from the husband to his wife as a surprise birthday present. Fortunately. the wife is our long-time friend, Lauren Killian of Person + Killian photography, so the pictures were amazing! The video the couple shot was fun, too, and together made a great montage with sound and music. We'll post that soon.

Our dream of filming life cycle events (kind of like the royal photographer) is beginning to manifest. Although we're most well known for our weddings, there are engagements, births, bar and bat mitzvah's, communions, birthdays and anniversaries, and reunions, and....We think it's all worth filming.
